That Hurt

So, it has been quite some time since I have posted but it seems I am on this site everyday reading the stories and getting tips. Thanks to all the contributors!

I thought I would share my brutal wipe-out that occurred on my way to work this morning. My commute involves riding through a massive office-park parking lot with a roundabout thingy (yes, it is part of the designated bike trail). I am about to cross one side of the tight roundabout thinking I have a clear lane when a giga-Dodge Ram comes flying around the circle. Not knowing if the driver has seen me I immediately stop and of course forget to 'unclip'. I fall over to the right like a clown and hit so hard it knocks the wind out of me . Fortunately, I have stopped circling traffic (at least 5 cars) so now I am thoroughly embarrassed. I jump up, brush myself off and get out of the road. A bunch of people stop and ask if I am ok, not bad for cagers, eh? Chewed up my right hand pretty good (I had just removed my morning gloves because they were getting too warm) no other damage except it feels like somebody smacked my arm/hand with a baseball bat. Still a little rattled too. Crazy shiz...so I continue the last .5 miles to work.

Anyway, I think I bent my right brifter? I had planned on taking the bike to the shop tomorrow anyway, rear wheel needs trued, but I wanted to get some input on the lever. I have attached pics. Do you think it can be repaired? Just wondering what to expect. Maybe, I will wander over to the mechanics forum as well, although that operator guy makes me nervous.

Thanks for listening...

It looks like it just got pushed out of place a bit. Muscle it back to where it was. If it still shifts and brakes, you are probably good to go.
