OK OK... this is so far the best bike commuting forum I've been to. Great folks, great site, great everything. That said, am curious if you folks go on other cycle commuting forums too. Please share.

Yeah, which other commuting forums exist? And by 'exist', I mean something that gets more than 5 new messages per week.

When BF did it's conversion to VB4 a few weeks ago, I really didn't like the new layout and looked for other bike forums (specifically, commuting related). I found some, but they were all dead. There are a few road cycling forums, but they're a different breed. Those guys don't care to hear about commuters dropping roadies on their way home from work.

Besides, I noticed the usability of the new design is getting better. Those little improvements have been making BF feel like home again.

I post on the commuting sub-forum at roadbikereview.com (note that this forum is commuting/touring/ride reports, so there is a blend of the three, I'd say its 40-50% commuting). I also occasionally take a look at the commuting forum at mtbr.com.

Both get a reasonable amount of traffic.

I sometimes go to the CTC forums, but only really because they are in the UK. This is my usual hang out!

Oh yeah... MTBR.com is a busy place. I might visit there. Maybe even resurrect my old username.

Let's see. bikecommuters.com and commutebybike.com are more bloggy, but do have feedback that are sort of like thread discussions, if they are hot topics. Then there is bicycling.com (bicycling magazine's site), which does have a commuting section. I haven't been back to that one in a while.

I hang out here the most....vB4 and all.

bikejournal.com has an ongoing thread called Commuter Century Cycling Challenge (CCCC). One work day where a bicycle is used to commute counts as one bike commute day, regardless of how far or how many other stops or side trips or round trips are made during the day. This keeps it simple. Participants in CCCC complete bike commutes during the year to pass various milestones that are tracked by date. 25, 50, 100, 150 and 200 commutes. It's a great group of people from all corners of the country and many other countries. The CCCC list is updated every week or so by a thread moderator, and it's amazing to see what so many are able to accomplish. Most people post updates one or more times per week.

Yeah, I would definitely recommend the MTBR Commuting Forum. It was my first commuter forum and it's pretty happening. Lots of daily activity and tons of useful information. Road/CX bike commuters welcome!

Here in Columbus we have yaybikes.com. It's an active site among local commuters. Good for out-of-towners to get riding info. I stole the "How was your commute today" thread idea from BF. And started one on yaybikes.com. and it has turned out to be the most popular thread on the site.

Roadbikereview.com has a commuting-touring subforum that I also participate in. Most of the postings are trip reports, some most excellent, but not as much discussion about practical commuting issues.
