Wow it is enlightening/inspiring to see some of these ages/mileage posted. I hope I don't live as far away from work as you guys when I get to be your ages. ;-)

60 miles is probably realistic at this point but I plan to get that up to 80 as I accumulate the right gear to eliminate the bad weather excuse.

I can't really see how a correlation would mean anything. I mean, we live where we live; we work where we work; and we are what we are. Granted, it would be possible to change where I work, or where I live, but I didn't chose either one with an eye toward the ideal bike commute.

Hmmm... where are all you 100+ mi/week folks on the mileage thread?
I'm 30. Average ~100+ commuting miles per week (15-17mi, ~6days/wk) - but that should drop by ~20mi in 3 months (finish grad school in June)
