Who makes the LOUDEST bell?

I bought an incredibell (the 2 tone for about $10) and it is such a faint sound that it's worthless to me.

I need something to use when there are 3 old ladies spread across the path gabbing away. No air horns or obnoxious honkers--I want to be pleasant.

I remember when I was a kid everybody had chrome bells that were 2 or 3 inches across. You pushed on the thumb lever and it went ching ching ching. When you released the lever it returned to it's original position, with another ching-ching-ching along the way.

It was loud and everybody knew it meant bike.

What's the best I can do nowadays? Thanks.

Yep its loud and if you are lucky you can find them in brass which is still veryh loud but the brass gives it a cooler tone.

I would say that is probably the loudest bell you can get. If you're ok with the "ding-dong" sound. If you want a more tradition sound, then there are these: https://www.amazon.com/Classic-Retro-.../dp/B000OF7JEQ not as loud, but pretty good sized. But you cannot mount them very well on drop bars, or on the handlebar stem.

I have that loud Chinese ding-dong bell on my tandem, but it's way too bulky and heavy for my commuters. I use a brass bell made in China by Crane on my lightweights. It's light and loud, but has only one tone.

It's pretty loud, but what I like is the tone, very pleasant, and the way it hangs on.

Ding,g,g,g,g,,.......Kinda like those bells you will sometimes find on the front counter of some stores. "please ring for service"

Yeah, but I want to alert them, not assault them!

I've seen two sizes of brass bells, pretty sure the bigger one says Crane. It's noticeabley louder than the smaller one or the Incredibell. The bell has a sustaining tone for a long time. I'm almost tempted to find something even bigger. It doesn't sound as loud in the rain when covered in water or water bridges to the clapper.

As far as I'm concerned, the only thing incredible about the incredibell is that people will actually pay money for something so worthless.

Here's the bell place:

"Bells" and "loud" don't really go together, in my experience. Personally, the AirZound seems like overaccessorization. Sometimes I secretly want one. I yell a lot.

With Airzound you can do a semi-gentle tap as opposed to a full blast or tighten the valve to lower the volume. Still better than a bell but not completely obnoxious.
