Hutchinson Tires

Has anyone tried Hutchinson tires? Are they generally good/bad/indifferent? Any particularly good/bad models?

They make nice models and cheap models, like many other brands. I bought a pair of Hutchinson Globetrotter tires once. Worst tires I've ever owned. In fact, it was these tires that made me such a fan of Schwalbe marathons.

I bought a pair of 700x32 Acrobats recently based on some good reviews I found by searching here. I have perhaps 50 miles on them and they are working as well as I had hoped for me so far. From looking at the latest Hutchinson catalog on their website it appears that except for one 26 inch model the Acrobats are no longer available in the US. It seems to me that last year when I searched on Hutchinson tires there was a US distributor but no sign of that lately. Either I have a bad memory or their US distributor was another victim of the recession. My very limited experience says they make some decent tires and I have talked to a couple of local cyclists who were also happy with them. One was running one of the MTB models on a 29er, the other had a pair of Piranha's on a hybrid. My bike is a Fuji Absolute 1.0 road hybrid, btw. To be perfectly honest my primary interest in Hutchinson tires is that they give me the opportunity to have my name emblazoned on the sides of my bike tires! That rather silly motivation for buying them aside I think they are decent tires.
