It is a shame that some cops think they're above the law. It is great when it is caught on tape so that it is not always an officer's word vs. the police's.

Abuse of power by cops is not a problem because it happens to people we approve of, it is a problem because it is wrong. I find sentiments like yours disheartening. An injustice is an injustice, no matter who it happens to.

When I lived in Botswana, a friend of mine got his bike stolen. He chased the guy down and turned him over to the police. The police beat the guy up and ask my friend if he wanted to take a punch or two. He was appalled. So they just let the guy go.
Some people in America would be happy to have Botswana's system of justice. I'm not so sure.

Amazing! Esp if you're from Chicago. Here, a drunk driving cop kills two students and goes free, helps that the judge's brother is President of the Illinois FOP and his nephew is a Chicago cop:
