Cannondale Tesoro?

I'm a roadie but got a Cannondale Adventure recently to commute and bum around on. I like it but this Tesoro really caught my eye. It doesn't seem to be available in the US though - anyone know the deal?

Tesoro

I like it. Its commuter-ready. You can buy it in Europe but the shipping fee is prohibitive.

Cannondale has a couple of bikes that I really like but are not in the US. I contacted their support about it at one point just to help show that there was an interest in some of these bikes. The reply I got stated that it was really up to the Cannondale dealers to make this happen. According to the person that replied Cannondale has no problems with bringing bikes like the Tesoro to the US, but that so far there hasn't been much demand from the dealers. They suggested that I talk to my local Cannondale dealers about it and have them request that the bike come to the US.

Bikes: 2010 Cannondale Traveller Classic

Hello
What Tesoro model are you looking at?
I was looking at the 2010 Cannondale catalog this week-end, and I got fixed on the Tesoro Traveller Classic :-)
Unfortunately they didn't have it in stock at my lbs...

I am planning to buy a new bike in fact, would be my single and only bike for commuting, touring, leisure and recreational trips with friends on a sunday afternoon.

I am afraid this bike would be a bit on the heavy side though, as my touring is roughly 10% of my total riding time.
But it is FULLY equiped with Shimano 105 equipments!

The catalog doesn't give any information on weight, and cassette/chainrings values though...
Do you happen to have an idea?

Cheers
Fadi

I'm not sure they're out yet. Some are aluminium frame some are carbon so I doubt they'll be too heavy. Cannondale sure seems to have an odd dealer setup.

I talked to Cannondale North America about buying the Tesoro and the person told me it wasn't possible *even though I'm willing to pay*.

So I'd like to discuss buying this bicycle with any official European Cannondale retailer. Please reply here or send me an e-mail.

I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
