Salem, OR, Union St. Railroad Bridge(video)

Union St. Railroad Bridge is now open in Salem, I thought I would post this for anyone interested. There is also a funny story that happened to me after this video was shot.

Here is a video of going from the West side of the bridge to the east

This might be a boring story, and I'm not really good a writing, and to lazy to check over it. so I hope it makes sence

After I had gotten to the other side of the bridge I had turned around to take pictures off the bridge, so I put away my Video camera, there was a man running across the bridge in street clothing, I thought it was weird, there were police siren at a point, and He looked around and kept running, I kind of thought it was weird but I didn't think much of it, I was riding right behind him, not passing, because the bridge was pretty full for the first day it was open, when we got to the other side of the bridge,(the first side in the video), He jumped the railing and I went down the side path that leads to the river front, I could see him struggling running and a slit hilly growthy slop along a fence for a storage unit place, I just kept riding, when I got down to the parking lot, he was then just running though, the end of his mess, then to the lot, I saw a man running from the road side to(the road is blocked of from cars on that side, so he was running far,) I noticed it was a police after a bit, so It all connected after the cop started yelling at the man(I kind of thought he was yelling at me) At many points I was pretty close to the criminal even on the bridge I thought about trying to take him down, I didn't, the cop was kind of heavier I felt bad, the criminal ran into the woods under the bridge, the cop kind of got there after, the cop was standing out of the woods thinking he had him trapped kind of, I went down onto a sand bar that is out in the river, I thought this was all kind of funny, the criminal got in the water actually I knew the cop couldn't see him so I was trying to help by yelling at the cop to tell him where he was, more cops started coming and a K9 from the other side, they finaly got him. I thought it all was pretty funny,

I guess it turns out the guy tryed braking into some warehouse close by.

I dont have tv really and dont really try to look anything up about what happened, SO i dont know the real turn out

Sorry for the boring story

Thanks for the post. I lived off of Glen Creek Road for a few years and rode over the bridge to downtown every workday. I bet the trees are done blooming now.
