Help for a flip-flop junkie.
Does anyone commute in SPD capable sandals? Is there a brand/model you would recommend over others?
I recently put some Time ATAC pedals on my new commuter because I wanted to start doing some longer distance rides on my way home from work and also start doing some tours.
I usually ride/commute in flip-flops on my bikes that have platforms. I simply do not like wearing shoes and my only gripe with flip-flops on a bike is they are flimsy so you definitely feel the edges of the pedals.

Bikes: Custom commuter made from Civia Prospect frame, Raleigh Sports (1971), custom road bike from a steel 2003 Fuji Marseille frame, 29er SS MTB built up from a Vassago Jabberwocky frame, Surly Long Haul Trucker (customzed for fully loaded touring)
If you wear regular sandals instead of flip-flops, you won't feel the hard edges of the pedals, and that takes care of your only gripe. No need to get more complicated.

Keen Commuters. They are narrow, but I have narrow feet, so that's good. It's all I use, from my 6-mile commute to weekend centuries.

Dozens and dozens of riders are riding in some sort of sandals. Good for them. In my household biking means closed toe shoes. Period. One time my oldest dared to violate this policy she peeled the big toenail off. Not pretty.
