the beauty of commuting...
Ok, This is in response to Chris L's "Who carries a camera when commuting? " I noticed a few beautiful sky, enviroment pictures.... Why don't we start posting such pictures on this thread? It would be a nice thing to be able to look through! I don't have one yet, but will be sure to bring my camera on the way to work monday.... one of these days i will be able to keep that magical moment!!

N7CZ, there are no cars in Montana. No wonder your commute is so great.

Yeah, Ron. Its pretty nice! I only see around 10-15 cars on the rural part of my commute. Once I get into the city, its another storey. Still, nothing like folks commuting in the larger cities.
(Oh, no cars, sorry. We still ride horse and buggies here.

Since I was accused of inspiring this thread. Here are a couple of quick random shots I took this evening. Lifestyles of the rich and stupid:

There are times when I feel like the South Pacific is my only friend. It's been an almost constant companion for a decade now.

Thanks to some stupid high-rise resorts, I missed the best one of them all (another spectacular sunset), but I suspect there will be plenty more of those before I'm finished.

Chris, I am so envious of your views. You post some of the most beautiful photos on this site. I am going to have to get batteries for my digital camara this weekend and take some of Vermont's mountains to put up here.

Here is one of my commute this morning. Kind of spooky in a foggy sort of way. Any others out there?
Also, how do I put the pics right here in the body of the text? It sure looks a whole heckuva lot better than the thumbnails.

Let's see if I can get images on this forum... (First attempt.)
Elevated boardwalk over what used to be a muddy, boggy, dirt path
Looking west across Lake Champlain to New York State

I haven't driven to work since they removed the fencing the first week of June. What else is nice about it is we can walk to the North Ave bus line if we're going into Burlington on a pub crawl. Might also do that to get to work during snow storms. Who knows?
