Something equipped with a Shimano Alfine 8 speed IG hub group, has a disc brake and Front Dyno-hub option.
plus, there is a Brifter made for that hub, though not by Shimano, from these guys :https://www.sussex.com.tw/versa.html
and Jtec makes a Bar-end shifter, to use Drop bars, and the IG hub If that is your wish.

Another option is the Civia Bryant with the SRAM Rival build: https://civiacycles.com/bikes/bryant/bryant_rival/
It is more of a purpose-built commuter but seems to be designed to offer much of the utility and comfort of a touring bike.

If anybody knows this last statement to be false, I'd love to hear about it because I'm in the market for the Rival model.
