If everything's in good working order and the bike fits you well, then IMHO that Fuji seems like an okay deal. The components are entry-level, but what do you expect for <$400? I believe (judging by the colour) that it's a 2009 model so you might be able to barter that price down some more.

I have its cousin the Absolute 1.0 and it is a great bike! I don't know if the frames are different, the 3.0 does have lower level components. It should be a solid bike though. My wife has a Fuji as well, they are both well built and while hers is a very different animal (Saratoga 3.0) we are both quite happy with our Fujis.

I have the absolute 4.0. I like it. Good commuter. Not a race bike but for the price range it works well. Good starter bike for someone not sure if they want to pour a lot of money into a bike. I have learned a lot about bikes without destroying a more expensive bike. I will probably get a nicer bike one of these days but I do not regret getting this one. Have almost 6000 miles on it in 3 years. Daily commute have served me well.
Negotiate that price though. Compare to other 3.0's. Be sure it is your size.

Bikes: Cross-Check/Nexus commuter. Several others for various forms of play.
It's an unremarkable price on an unremarkable bike. No clue what you want it for, hopefully includes commuting to typing / spelling / articulation lessons.
