how late?

It's a good morning if I can shave, brush my teeth, and floss (making the kids' lunches and mine are not negotiable, and pretty much showering is also not negotiable).

Today I didn't shave but I got everything else done.

Not sure what the question is. I shower and prep everything for the next day before going to bed, so when I wake up at 5:30, I have a quick bite to eat then I'm out the door before 6.

Yesterday I was still undressed at 7.29. I have a 4 mile commute and should be at work at eight. So I dressed, put on my cycling gear and went down in the basement to put my new 11-28 cassette on last years CX winterwheelset. Had to pump some air into them after I had put them on the bike. Then I had to adjust the front brake because the rim was quite a bit wider. Got into work at 8.10. I never learn !

Haha! I never miss a day of work, but I'm always a little late. Always.

I do my best not to be late for work but I have to admit when I get to the last half kilometre, my wheels start to slow down. This "lead leg syndrome" is the same one I suffered from as a kid going to school -- all was fine walking to school until the school came into sight, then my feet and legs would fill with lead and I'd have to drag myself along the last block. It's sad, but there is no cure except weekends and vacations.

When I bike I wake up at 6, eat breakfast, shower, shave, make my lunch, pack my bags, dress, head out the door by 7:30 at the latest. I get in to work at 8:10, wipe down, change, and I'm at my desk by 8:20 at the latest.
When I drive I wake up at 7, head out by 8:30 and I'm usually cutting it close since I have to be at work by 9.

Lesson: bike more

PS Don't ask why I spend so much time getting ready in the morning. I'm just lazy.

+1 this. Takes discipline, but works every time.

I leave 30 minutes before I'm scheduled, and get in 5 minutes early every single day without a hitch. They allow to clock in 5 minutes prior, so it's free money! And I'm cheap so I make sure to do it

If I was late every day I would get fired, eventually.

I'm rarely late. As stated earlier, I pack my bags the night before. I shower and head out the door. On the way , I stop at a donut shop for my breakfast donut or burrito. At work, I wash up, shave and change into work clothes.

Takes me an hour and a half - two hours to get out of my house in the morning. My commute is 20 miles each way so I end up waiting for nature to call (like clockwork) before I leave.

I was like this in my younger years but then I became a lazy A5S. My plan is to return to this temperament.

I also have kinda flextime meaning I'm never really late but the thing is I prefer to start early. Starting later in the day just doesn't feel right to me. In any case, when I'm on the path to getting in to work early, there's always some stuff that re-routes my path and makes me late. It's probably down to my lack of discipline: too many people started telling me I need to be flexible, and to compromise, and that life isn't black or white. Nah, I prefer the black-and-white path.

Roll out of bed at 6am. Shave, shower, put on bike clothes, pack bike, eat and roll out of garage around 6:30. 5 mile commute takes 20 minutes or so and by the time I got through the various gates and doors to get to my office, It's usually a little before 7am. I spend about 15 minutes cooling down and getting dressed before heading to the front office to chat with the secretaries before starting work at 7:30.

I usually get up around 8, shower, dress, try to remember if I need to grab anything special, carry the bike up the stairs to the driveway, ride to work, get there between 8:25 and 8:35 and call it "close enough to 8:30" to not reprimand myself for tardiness. It helps that I live close to work...

Oh, and sometimes I get up around 7 or 7:30, shower, dress, try to remember if I need to grab anything special, lay back down until 8:20....

Forgot to shave today. Just plain forgot, it wasn't a planned reduction of morning routine to get to work on time.

I'm never late. Since I work second shift, I go to bed anywhere from 1am-3am and get up anywhere from 10am-noon. After eating, cleaning up, doing house things, and packing for work I'll head out for my one mile commute thirty minutes before start time. It's worked for close to a decade.

Currently living in a foreign country is quite laid-back. My day goes pretty much like this:

· Get up around 7:15-7:30
· Brush my teeth and wash my face
· let the pooch out
· have breakfast (normally some kind of tropical fruit with yogurt and honey)
· By 8:00 AM turn-on the computer and telecommute for about 3 hours
· Get my bike ready and go for a ride
· Stop at the gym on the way back
· Ride home, shower and have lunch
· Telecommute again in the afternoon for a few hours

When I ride my bike I'm usually about 30minutes early. Traffic is so much lighter earlier. Plus, I need time to cool down, change clothes, and make coffee when I get to work.

I wake up at 6am and usually leave my house between 7:10-7:15. It's a 19.1 mile commute to the college and my first class doesn't start till 9:05. I usually arrive at the bike rack a little after 8:30. I like having all that time before class in case something goes wrong i.e. flat, break the chain, hit heavy traffic, etc. It also gives me plenty of time to change clothes, eat a snack, and get some studying done.

Bikes: Too darn many.. latest count is 11

All you late sleepers I get up at 2am, have the bike on the car and am on the road by 2:30. Get to where I park and am on the bike by 3:30. 25 mile ride, in the office by 5..5:15 if I dawdle.
