Bikes: Surly Big Dummy, Waltworks singlespeed 29er

I have a set of 700x42 folding Continental Travel Contact tires, unused. Would like to trade for 700x45 Panaracer Fire Cross tires, or Marathon Dureme/Extreme/Mondial/XR tires. Email if interested.

Have: An older Axiom trunk bag. It expands up and the side panels drop down into mini-panniers. Reflective strip that doubles as blinkie tab on the back pocket. Has a place to put a mini pump on the outside of the bag. Attaches with 4 velcro straps at the corners. It's used, but still in decent shape. Received via trade here and decided it's not for me.

Want: Lights front or rear (can never have too many), or a decent backpack (1500 cubic inch minimum), or a large, expandable seat wedge.

Possible trade in the works...

And is now gone.

Have: Surly Cross Check, 54cm. Can be offered as complete bike or just the frameset. Barely ridden at all. I built this myself, including the wheels, and it is in tip-top shape. It's unusual.

I am not offering the fenders or front rack.

I can reconfigure the bike within a few constraints.

700c wheels with CR18 rims
35mm Panaracer Pasela tires
Sturmey Archer drum brake front hub
Shimano "roller brake" rear hub with 8-speed cassette
Shimano RSX crank
Shimano 105 derailleurs
Shimano 9-speed bar-end shifters
Nashbar mustache handlebars

This is a heck of a solid bike. The brakes won't need maintenance for 20 years or more, and they don't care about weather.

I'm flexible as to what I want in exchange. Maybe a lighter bike, or maybe even something that's not a bike.

For trade: Parts off of a recently purchased Motobecane Mirage from BD. All parts are take-off and have never seen the road. They are not top of the line parts, but they are brand new and work fine. All hardware is accounted for and included.

Looking for: A working set of Sunrace compatible bar end shifter pods, 2 pair Kool-Stop/BBB/or like road brake shoes and pads

----

120mm silver stem, 4 bolt face, 26.0 clamp
1 set interrupter bar-top brake levers
1 set silver brake levers
1 set of silver wheels (8 speed cassette can be included if trade warrants it)

ISO, Swapp, Trade thread? Found it! Fender Stays needed.
Hi Everyone, I normally cruise the C&V thread. I looked but I didn't see a thread for this so do you guys and gals have a trade/swapp forum? I am looking for a set of Sun Lite fender stays and thought someone might have a set kicking around from broken fenders.

The fenders/stays in question have the little black clip that fits on the ridge of the fender, rather than the more common metal tab like a Honjo or Blumels. I can likely find or make stays if someone atleast has a soucre for the clips. Of course Planet Bike wasn't much help. Oh they would be for 700c wheels.

Here is Gerv's reply from my original post.

I moved to the trade thread.

Not that I have what you're looking for, but what do you have to offer in exchange? Items have to flow to/from the involved parties- otherwise it is a buy/sell transaction, which is not permitted here.

I ended up taking it apart and selling the frameset. I have the front hub on my Raleigh Twenty. It's a heck of a drum brake hub.

I have a sleeve adapter for a 1 1/8" stem to allow it to be mounted on a 1" fork tube left over from my recent headset replacement. It's not worth anything to me, but might be worth something to someone else, let me know if that's you and I'll send it your way for the cost of the postage.

No longer available.
