Fairweather commuter project is finally complete!
Many here know of my "project" - the thread is over in the C&V forums for the folks here who've expressed interest in progress.

wow looks beautiful.

Holy cow, that's nice!

Very nice. The attention to detail is fantastic. Very cool look for an "out of the box" bike.

That's a gorgeous bike. I bet it's a blast to ride!

Congrats on the build, Canyoneagle! Not at all what I was expecting when I saw the pics of the frame at the time of purchase. I really like what you've done with the bike, and I think you've done the Marinoni company proud. I did a double-take on the hide grips; I assumed it was Brooks bar tape. Where did you source the grips from?
Again, nice job! |

Again, nice job! I used the VO Elk hide bar wrap. I took the advice of several posts and wrapped the bars with velox cloth tape first, and I like the aesthetic as well as the feel. The leather sits firmly with no twisting, and the underwrap gives a slightly larger diameter (which I prefer). I treated the bar grips with proofide after installation. |
I like!
