help finding bike

So right now, im in saudi using my fuji track pro as a commuter:

I want to get a more practical commuter as i will be pretty much riding only it with the car for super long trips, or loads i cant carry with the bike, panniers, and trailer. I plan to do my grocery shopping, mailing, etc etc with it routinely pulling 50-80lb loads on a trailer. I move back in march, so i want to order it and have it sitting there when i get there

max distance is maybe 5 miles in a stint as i live close to base as it is, unless i go on a ride with you guys, which ill prolly keep the track pro out. but what else in the 1k range do you reccomend
i REALLY like the Trek Soho DLX, (https://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes.../soho/sohodlx/) but am very open to ideas. only thing i really would like is this:
Not too relaxed geo, im used to doing 40-50 miles to the mall round trip on my Fuji, so maybe a bit more relaxed, but no like hybrid stuff. still want a road bike geo.
Disk Brakes, so in winter if i ride in the snow, or ride in the rain i dont worry about diminished braking with a large load.
Prefer drop bars, and no bar end shifters.

other than that, no certain group preference or anything not a race bike, just a day to day hauler. Was hoping some of you had looked at some bikes. I have looked at Kona, surley (cross check seems good) trek, and gt, nad specialized. if the Allez had rack mounts id buy it! I like it. Also, i already have pedals, headlights, tailights, helmet etc etc so no need to factor it into budget.

Anyways, thanks for the help in advance guys!
BIKE MUST BE ABLE TO BE SHIPPED VIA USPS TO APO. #1 factor
