An other jump for us as well. Ottawa, Ontario - Canada.
$1.359 per liter = ~$5.16 for a gallon

If oil prices are dropping, you cant tell at my local filling station, where it is still going up a few cents every couple of days. Today it was up to $4.29 from $4.27 yesterday.

~$3.75 here. I save at least $80 a month riding to work. To keep better track, I have created a separate savings account and will be funding a build with the sum.

The google tells me: 1.40 (Canadian dollars / litres) = 5.55 US$ / US gallon
I haven't filled my car up in a couple of weeks since I rarely go out of town any more, but at these prices I might never leave again!

Just tanked up my car yesterday, it uses 93 octane, so gas is $4.15 and it cost me $47. On my way home, the car's ignition lock jammed, so the car is out of commission for a week or so.

145 yen per liter at my local station in Tokyo, so about $US 6.77 per gallon.

Very little change here. Still $8.26/gal in Geneva, Switzerland. It's currently $7.27/gal across the border in France, but that's mainly due to the strength of the swiss franc relative to the U.S. dollar, whereas the euro has shown some weakness lately.

wow i guess i shouldnt complain about having the highest prices in the US, you guys in europe have it rough. but you do have way better public transport than we do.

That's true, but public transportation is also a lot more expensive here than in the states. I recently bought a ticket for 2nd class travel on a commuter train. Distance was 23 miles. Cost was $29. A first class seat (same train, different car) would have been $49.

$3.89/gal for regular at the closest gas station to me. Due to the prices and my desire to commute more, I try to work all my errands into a single ride or two. Like today, I have a doc appointment. As long as the radar looks ok (which it does as of now), I will ride my bicycle. If it rains, I'd rather not be on the bike; not because of I don't like riding in the rain. My part of Texas has not had a quality rain since January, so when it does rain, all that oil on the road will get rather slick.

I paid $2.67/gallon for my last tankfull. But that was about 4 months ago, and my car's still sitting in the garage. In fact, I just renewed my license plates which expired a year ago. Don't know why, exactly. I MIGHT want to drive it somewhere...
Hey, have you guys seen where there's a draft bill floating around in Congress - they want to tax everyone on the MILES traveled now. That's no doubt in response to people who avoid buying gas by plugging in their electric cars.
How much longer until someone in government figures out a way to tax bicycles?

I just put 20 bucks in the gas tank of my old BMW motorcycle. I would be doing that every two days if not for my bicycle/bus commute that I've worked out.
