I lost my Swiss Army Watch today on the way to work. If anyone found it in Arlington, VA or DC let me know

Found some dumb people throwing trash cans into the middle of the street. I put the trash cans back on the side of the rode. And one of the yelled ******guy lol... about 2 min later an abulance with it sirens going off drove down that same rode. And then I called the police on them on the guy who said the bad words.

This afternoon I passed a bra that looked as if it had only arrived there recently. Of course it was 98 degrees in Chicago this afternoon, so who would blame them...

The cup size looked to be one of the larger sizes. If anyone is missing one and would like to meet me for drinks to claim it, PM me...

If anyone claims it, you should require a fitting to be sure you have the rightful owner. Unless it's a dude.

I ran in to a bat the other night. Does that count? Hit me square in the chest. (I think this means I need a better light)

Ever heard the term "Blind as a Bat"? Light aint going to help.

Found a set of cheap solder-less terminal crimps. Not sure why I picked them up as I have 3-4 sets of Kleins.

Found a brand new hiking boot today, about a size 11 or 12. Wrong size for me, and I have two feet, so I just moved it to the side so it didnt' get run over.

Really? Me too! Middle of the road, had to make a quick dash to get them. Nearly new, a scratch or two from cars running over
them.. Perfect for working with my roses.

I found seven packs of cigarettes on the side walk, took them by the EZmart and got fifteen dollars for them.
Found a Cloud Nine bike seat, with bracket, like new.

Not so strange... But I passed by a cell phone on the side of a busy intersection and thought "huh probably broken" but I turned around anyway and picked it up to find out that it was on and fully functional and in condition. Got in touch with owner and I'm dropping it off on the way home tonight. Funny how when you find something of someone's they are "too busy" to come get it. Either way, drop off point is on the way home. Apparently they left it on top their car last night while driving and it fell off around a turn. I'm surprised it's in really good shape.

I love this thread. I never find anything. I passed by a rubber bungee cord one day though that I wish now I'd turned around and gotten just to say I found something, even though I have a million of them.

My grandfather was the king of finding stuff on his bike rides. Anything from tools, to beer, to money, and any number of things he would make use of.

This thread has me paying closer attention to the detritus along the roadside.
Last night I noticed....
A new looking rubbermaid trashcan.
One brand new high end hiking boot?
A nucky brand baby pacifier. (someone had to listen to a lot of screaming last night )
A bic lighter.
Many various nuts and bolts. I always wonder what part is about to fall off someones car when I see these.
Two Colman cooler lids about a mile apart.
Nothing worth picking up.

I wonder if it's a match to the one I found. We're only a few thousand miles apart.

A large flock of sheep beside the road. The guard dog was watching so I left them there. Ok maybe seeing sheep beside the road is common in NZ or Oz but in SoCal it was something new....

Found a radiator cap along the road this week. Wonder how far that car made it.

On my weekend ride today: a tarantula :O I didn't stop for pictures since I'm not a fan of big spiders. Near the end of the ride I found a reusable Trader Joe's bag. I did stop and grabbed that since I was only a few blocks from the house.

Does this count? Unusual, because it's the 1st I've seen in 7 years commuting on the river trail

Found a $20 note the other day, and not so fantastically, a decomposing Armadillo that's been on the side of the road for 2 weeks. It's really starting to smell...

Edit: I should note I'm in Houston for the summer. Not too many Armis in Tucson.

Dang, wish I saw something worth keeping! Drug baggies, syringes, a bone-thin cat being tortured by some kids (now fat and happy in a new home), used condoms, expired bus passes...definitely nothing you WANT to find.

Last Friday I found a softball on the shoulder. I picked it up to keep on my desk at work. This morning I found another softball in the exact same place. OK, it was near a ball field but still...
