My Soma Double Cross Build !

After a year of research and shopping for parts here she is.
The STI's were cannibalize off my giant OCR. Most of the new parts were e-Bay deals. The wheels (EA50) were from LBS. The Brooks was from a non-local LBS(45 min away). The good guys at Revolver. Except for cutting the fork ,facing and chasing a bottom bracket "I did it all myself".
It has Sram cranks with 105 drive train.
The Salsa dark brown tape seems to go well with the Brooks special saddle.
Fender and rack to follow.

It rides like a dream.

Sweet looking ride. I've got over 7000 miles on my Double Cross and have been very happy with it.

Here is mine when she was new, Ultegra drivetrain, Disc brakes:

Well done. You did a great job harmonizing the colors.

Very nice build. I love the color.

Revolver is a great shop. I wish we had more choices out this way.

At first I wasn't to keen on the Ivory. But late last year they came out with matching fork. I saw it next to a Honey colored Books special OMG they were made for each other.
The guys at Revolver let me ride their Soma Double Cross, Surly LHT, Surly Cross Check and one of the employees own Soma ES. I spent hours talking their ears off. I felt bad not buying the frame from them but Soma was out of frames in my size. I found what I think was the last Ivory Double Cross size 56 on the west coast at Bikes Tires Direct. Soma is expecting shipments in May.

With rack and fenders. Fenders are Planet bike Cascadia's. The rack is a RackTime Addit , weight=652 gm rated to 30 kg.

After searching through the many beautiful images and helpful building advices on this forum, I decided to build my first bike. Here's my Soma Double Cross Ivory 54cm (105s, Brooks, and vintage from Velo Orange).
