Wald Folding baskets: weight limit

Does anyone know the weight limit on a Wald Folding basket? They look flimsy to me. I have to carry groceries for 4.

I really dont care about the folding capability if anyone has any other suggestions.

I have had a 12 pack of beer in each side, about 20 lbs each, no problems, but reasonably smooth roads.

I was thinking about this some more, volume will be a problem before weight is. Each basket holds one full size reusable tote.

So as stated in the other posts, are you going to stop at the market a few times a week or do you need the volume of a trailer?

I run out of space long before the baskets start to complain about weight. Even when I carry dense things, I usually hit the point where the steering of the bike goes off long before anything actually breaks.

Right now im limited by how much weight and volume i can carry... though the weight is all too high at the moment.
I think a bit bigger than milk crate volume is sufficient.
I think 2 Wald folders would probably be in that range.
