Radbot 1000 thumbs up

I was on a club ride tonight, and at the end of the bike path, we decided to go further, so I turned on my taillight, which is a Radbot 1000. I received more than one comment of it being very bright, and this was in the daytime. One person asked if it was some "special kind of light".

Just wanted to let people know, as I am always curious about how others see my taillights. It seems as though this one works very well.

I'm another satisfied Radbot 1000 user. It's not a Dinotte, but it's really good for under $30.

Remember, with great power comes great battery comsumption.

I love my Radbot 1000 but it does use the batteries faster than my PB Superflash (rechargeables). I try to keep an extra set in my pack.

Another satisfied Radbot 1000 customer. Very bright, and when set in blink mode, decent run time on a charge. I've noticed fine road silt working its way just under the cover where it meets the base. I'm fendered, so it's not splash from the wheels. No effect on functionality so far.

The dangerzone is also a good one. I had a Radbot before, but I dont remember if it was a 500 or 1000.

I converted to the RB1K from the PBSF. No regrets.

I considered the Dangerzone too, but I need a reflector to comply with Ohio law, and it was just easier to have it all in one.

Mind sharing why you made that change? What do you like better/worse?

I converted from the PBSF as well. I prefer the Radbot's screw lid to the Super Flash's coin-popped one, which loses tightness over time. Plus, it's brighter.

I apologize. I misread your message, and had it backward. That makes sense to me

there is a new turbo PBSF, it's just as bright as the Radbot 1k. The radbot packaging does have advantages.

I also switched from the PBSF to the Radbot 1000. It's way brighter, I like the built-in reflector, and it looks better. Both are great lights for the money, though.

I love the radbot1000 so much, I wrote them and asked if they would make a FRONT version. Make it with a white reflector and a white LED, but otherwise make it identical. I would attach it where my front reflector currently is.

They noted my request. If anyone else things this would be useful, be sure to write the company. Who knows...

The main thing I didn't care for in the PBSF was the lack of water resistance. Even, with the lens taped to the body, moisture gets in and ruins the switch. Sometimes, it kep the light from being switched on, sometimes it turned itself on while the bike was unattended, resulting in premature battery failure.

The Radbot kept flashing through entire days of rain on my last tour, never fell off its mount, never lost its lens.

That actually sounds pretty slick...

They come with a clamp type mount for the seatpost or seatstay. And they also include a rack mount, unlike the PBSF. I have mine on the back of an Axiom Journey rack.

I can never figure out the mounts and wind up zip-tying them to my dairy crate.
