Eclipse panniers-----help!

My step daughter just bought some Eclipse panniers at a garage sale for 20 bucks. They are great-------except---------there's no way to attach them to the rack. Does anybody have these and can offer some help. I saw an OLD post that said there is a dedicated Eclipse rack that they go with. Good luck finding one of those. I can only think that we can use some double gate clasps (I don't know what they're really called) that have a hook and a slide lock on either end. There are some D rings on the panniers in the appropriate spots for this to work but it seems like there should be a better way. Help

I remember them TW. It had a dovetail looking slot on the Eclipse rack, that you slid the panniers into. Maybe you can build something out of alum. angle or bar stock. Might find the rack at a future yard sale,or a dedicated bike rummage sale.

Thanks tirelever, I'm thinking of finding out where the garage sale was, going back there and seeing if they still have the rack!

Hi, did you ever find the parts you need? Sometime ago I had an assortment of hardware for these panniers, if you are still in need, I will try to find them.

Rixen and Kaul use a hook that slides along an aluminium or plastic rail. If they dont fit your rail, you can replace the rail with a R&K one, they rivet into place.
R&K spares are easy to find and used by many pannier manufacturers.

Nope, just someone who didn't bother to read the TOS.
