I have a brooks b17 on one bike and it is very nice. However I find my charge spoon saddle to be pretty comfortable - probably comparable to the brooks.

Though an combination of bike evolutions, I ended up with a Trek 520 and no saddle. For Father's day this year, the guys got me a Sella-Anatomica saddle; which arrived just last week. Only a couple hundred km on it, so far I like it a lot. All of my other upright bikes have various Brooks models - B17, B68, Imperial and Champion Flyer - all very comfortable in their application. However hard to beat a basic B17 for all around comfort, longevity and value. Yes, there are Brooks knock offs and cheaper leather seats - that is just it - they are cheaper.
