Help picking a commuter bike

Hey how much would you guys actually pay for these bikes:

http://austin.craigslist.org/bik/2448454473.html
Owner agreed to 325

http://austin.craigslist.org/bik/2471292647.html
Owner agreed to 350

Are they good for commuting?

Thanks in advance for your help!

They would both be fine for commuting, but both of those bikes are overpriced IMO you might as well buy a new bike although there are more reasonable than their ads. Check this one out. I am sure you can find something for $250 or less.

The 7200 has a front shock. Unless you are commuting on some really rough roads, I'd steer clear of a shock. They can really sap your energy.

Any bike can be used for commuting. Both monsterpile and MK313 make valid points :thumb:.

What I enjoy may not be what you enjoy as far as commuting goes. If you tell us about your roads, distance, what you will be carrying, & what you would like the bike to do (i.e. go fast, muddle around with family, carry loads of gear) we might be able to assist you better.
