Bikes: Khs Alite 300

KHS, anyone?

Been commuting a little bit here and there for a couple of years. I am using a Khs 300 with semi-slick tires and comfort bars.

Just wondering if anyone else uses a Khs bike?

A friend of mine commutes year-round on a KHS Smoothie. He has some health issues and swears by the crank-forward design.

I have a 1993 KHS Montana Comp with 100 psi, 1.25" slicks that I use for a utility errand bike.

My commuter/errand bike is a 1993 Montaña Pro FZ/Comp hybrid. A Comp was ordered but for some reason it shipped with the higher end frame and Comp components. It's now fitted with 1.5" Pasela TGs and a Nitto Albatross bar, among other commuterizations. It has served me well for all these years.

Has anyone ever tried one of the KHS folding bikes? If so please let me know how it went.

Love my KHS Competition, only bike that perfectly fits my 6'5" frame

~15 miles a day usually.

Bikes: '06 Kona Smoke

Their Urban Express is on the short list of n+1 candidates.

The frame angles look remakrably like like 1993 Montana Comp.

Our KHS Tandemania Comp has been a very nice Starter Tandem for 11 years. We moved up (or down a little closer to the ground) to a RANS recumbent tandem this year.

Glad to have company. Does anyone know if the Alite 300 is a candidate for fenders, or panniers on a rack?

I have just used backpacks and a post rack on it so far. Coleman Max headlights.

Currently on a 2010 KHS flite 300.
I've got RibMo tires and a rack that I carry two Ortlieb (one laptop bag the other a 'small' pannier) bags.
No issues with the bike at all.

KHS Mocha owner here. I've assembled/ridden a good portion of KHS' lineup and most models are very nice bikes at their various price points. Their Manhattan and Freeagent lines are also nice.
