n+1 strikes again.

Not really a "juicy" thread or anything, I just wanted to say I picked up my new "sports car" today, a Raleigh Cadent 1.0. Its not a wonder bike, and its not a fresh-off-the-showroom bike, but I wanted a "fast" bike for weekend and evening riding, and light duty commuting and this one fit the bill. Paid $250 off Craigslist and the guy was super helpful. I'll post some pictures up tonight once I clean it up a bit. She's not perfect, but she's mine

Bikes: quite a few

I thought it was n-1? (You would've just been on n-2)

Congrats though. I've always liked Raleighs.

I slapped new tires on her, new brake pads, and readjusted everything. She's like new now! The cheapie PB rack needs to be adjusted to be level, but its functional.

All in all, I am extremely happy. I have been riding all afternoon, and the plan is to test it out on the commute Monday too. It won't replace my daily bike due to cargo constraints and parts being too cumbersome for side of the road repair, but it will certainly get me downtown to the bars easier, and it will be extremely fun on the weekends!

EDIT: I can finally raise the bars on my daily bike back to a sane level too, now that I have my drop bar fix
