Actually, that was an image from my 2007 crash. This years crash (2011/5/4) resulted in bruised menisci (plural of meniscus), a sprained wrist, and back pain. I haven't been active much on the thread due to my school schedual, my relationship (now ended), or running around between physical therapy and chiropractic appointments. No time for fun rides

If you're mad they're widening the roadway, because they're taking the bike lane to do it! Which will end my commuting til 2014.

Total bummer! Some planners still think the Robert Moses "straighter, wider, faster" mantra will solve congestion, when it's already been proven in numerous studies that that's not the case...

... you're keeping your summer tires on the car on purpose in the winter to use as an excuse to ride your bike instead.

... you love when your coworkers ask you when you'll put your bike away because it's getting below freezing lol.

You've ordered needed winter gear and replacement parts from a variety of online stores and get excited like it was Christmas morning every day for a week.

... you do your own bike maintenance instead of taking it to the LBS because: 1. you know your bike better than they do anyway 2. you'll do a better job since you actually care since it's your bike and 3. it takes them too long to do it anyway.

Heh, I love this too. Only problem is then you realize you need one more part, or you forgot to order a brake cable, so then Christmas is extended another week

You drop the hammer a mile before you're home because they just put up a "Your Speed" radar sign on a flat section of the road, and it's a point of pride to make it indicate that you're over the limit.

I cannot resist those, I avoid the one on the way to work but there is another on one of the routes home that is partway down a hill...

I will pedal my guts out just to watch it turn red

I told a co-worker to remind me I drove a car to work, otherwise I would have rode my spare bike home.

Looks like you might be a hardcore commuter if you have a spare bike at work!

We have a guy like that at my work, I thought he just didn't have enough storage at home for all of his bikes! I don't mind, our cage is pretty big and there's never more than four of us in there anyway. In fact, after my next N+1 I'm probably going to be keeping a spare ship there too.

If/when I finish my latest build, I'll have to store one at work. No room in the NYC apartment anymore!
