cross check drop outs.

Just built up a cross check, 62 cm robins egg blue. At the end of the drop out there is a small threaded hole for a bolt. Needed for axle alignment? The QR's seem to be doing just fine.

There wasn't an alignment screw in there to begin with? I bought my CC as a complete a few years back and it had them in there.
Anyhow, there's a long spring-loaded screw that belongs in there to make the task of wheel alignment easy after changing a flat. Due to semi-horizontal drops, you need to make sure your wheel is in the same place to keep the brake pads lined up properly on the rim when reinstalling the wheel.
Spares of those alignment screws are about $2.00; talk to your local shop.

YOu dont need them but they are nice to have. If you have the screws set just right all you have to do is insert wheel, shove it back and tighten. No aligning necessary. I have mine set up single speed so it even more important.

Yeah, there should be an alignment screw in both sides. I would get some, just me maybe. Makes recentering the same each wheel removal so much easier.

There should have been a little plastic bag with the hardware for the alignment thingers in the box with the frame. You can easily replace them for cheap and it makes putting the rear wheel in a bit easier, no worrying about centering things
