Hand signals in the dark

What do you use to help motorists see you hand signal when it's dark out? I've seen reflective gloves but they only had a small 2-3 inch strip. Maybe a blinky? In the winter I'm thinking of a jacket with reflective strips down the arms buy I need something for the fall and spring.

In wet weather I use a jacket with reflective trim from elbow to wrist.

When it's cool but not wet, I have the same trim on the long-sleeve jerseys I use for commuting.

When it's too warm for a long-sleeve jersey, I use reflective trim on gloves.

Regardless of the weather, when I'm riding after dark I start moving for turns a bit sooner -- lane position is at least as good an indicator as signaling, but you need to take your lane position soon enough for drivers to notice it. (I'd also note I have enough reflective material on the bike that drivers see and avoid me with or without a signal.)

I favor reflective material all the way down the arm, I think that's better than a disembodied hand

iron-on stuff

with weak lighting

a previous version, stronger lighting in this photo

The iron-on stuff doesn't stay on my jacket well in a washing machine, so if you try this, hand-wash it. This could be due to a water-repellent coating of the fabric, I don't know. Maybe next time I'll rough up the fabric with a Scotchbrite pad.

I've considered buying the Safe Turn automatic turn signal. Strap it to your wrist and it activates when you raise your arm.

this is what I wear day or night: Kinco gloves hi vis orange with reflective strip.........

https://www.kinco.com/products.html?p...category_id=11

My LBS owner loves me because people ask who is that nut with the very visible glovewho bikes around the clock?

the gloves go from mesh back for hot summer riding to insulated gloves. It gets very cold here in the winter and I wish they made a mitten with high vis orange and a reflective strip...........with wool gloves and the uninsulated can ride until about 30 deg F. After that I use the insulated and add wool liners when it gets below 0F. The gloves are inexpensive and work.........
