My ride in was nice. Sun coming up. A tick below freezing, with a headwind I didn't particularly appreciate, but I dealt with it.

For some reason I felt really good this morning. Temps were in the 50s and it had rained all night, but quit long enough for my ride in. I caught mostly green lights and took the slightly longer route. Fun stuff.

Have to drive to an appointment today. I'll make up for it by cycling to lunch and later tonight after work.

I had a good ride in, saw a couple commuters I think they were high school kids. Looks like a little rain for the ride home so that should be interesting but I was really hoping for a mix of rain and snow, soon enough I suppose.

Now that the little guy had his tonsils out and had a good post-op, I'm back to work and back on the bike!!
And the first ride back is...40 degrees, rain, wind...ahhhh, back in the saddle!

I haven't rode since Monday. That's weak. I even sold one of my two cars (and the remaining car is a beater).
The weather looks tolerable tomorrow, I'm planning on riding. That, and the scale says I've gained weight. I think it lies.

My bike lane that I have to share with buses, but no one else except right turning vehicles was packed full of yellow cars, all of them blocking my way and slowing me down. None were a bus and few turned right. So I ended up splitting lanes right down the middle of Lex for most of my commute. To top it off, I forgot my rear blinky at home and it's gonna rain later and I'm dressed all in black.

Man was this morning beautiful!
Full moon, very few wisps of clouds in the sky, ~50F or so, low traffic and riding the new bike.
Man, does it really get any better?
well yah... if the new bike had some Trekking bars... it might be better =)

Cold, dark, wet and rainy. Broke out the rain pants this morning. Fun! Fun! Fun! I forgot how cold thin layers of rain-gear against bare skin is. I was pretty comfy and mostly dry on the inside, though. It was very satisfying to have made it in - put me in a good mood - especially since I beat the bus again this morning. (They average around 15 -18 mph overall)

Smooth all the way in today. I even had a lane to myself through downtown, as ALL the cars went to one of the other three. I had to ride extra-fast so I didn't feeel like I was holding anyone up.

Drops small screws
I have a new (used) laptop that, unlike my previous one, doesn't require an AC outlet. It will actually charge its battery and give me about two hours of work time.
So today I started looking for places to stop and write on my way to work.
The end of this pier was a little cold, but I got my 250 words done. Tomorrow... we'll see.

Not too bad this morning. Wet pavement but no rain and in the mid 40's. Might be rain for the ride home but I don't care about that as long as its not too cold. Just now the sun came out for the first time in what seems like a week!! Also by the time I got to my office my front tire was flat!! At least I know what I'll be doing after I eat my lunch.

No ride today. My wife had an early meeting and it was up to me to get the kids to preschool. I suggested riding in but my daughter vetoed it. Thought about insisting but reconsidered. I don't want to make riding something that "daddy makes me do."

running late today. took to the streets for the ride in this morning. made great time. bike pathed the way home. sweet. saw maybe 3 other people on it the whole way. More geese than people on the bike path tonight.

Much fun today. I was taking my perfected straightest, flattest, least stops route home on my heavily loaded touring bike and a guy on a hot racing bike, wearing full kit kept catching up with me and passing. He would ignore me and shoot on by. After the third catch he said, "We keep passing each other." I just said "I'm just taking an optimized route home." He did not catch on that he was taking the main roads , hitting the lights, and going along two sides of a rectangle while I went straight and steady. At the fourth pass I said "I only have 300 feet of climb left to get home" and went on by.

Nice and quiet commute to work. Dark as usual. I wore a windbreaker but got hot halfway through my ride. The two dogs that are usually loose to chase me were not out this time. Since it's Friday, I went as fast as I could so I could get a good workout. Nothing exciting to report and I like it that way!

A balmy 47, little head wind, which was actually good as I would have gotten too over heated. Suppose to be up to 60 today and then, as is usually the case in WNY, it will be 27 and snow on Monday.

It will be 2 months commuting to work on a bike tomorrow, but since tomorrow is Saturday, I'm celebrating the milestone today. As far as my commute, my legs were pretty much gone today. I had to ride in a very low gear to compensate, so I definitely am going to need this weekend off from riding to refresh. I have to take the long way home today to pick up a few things from the store, so hopefully my legs will be up for that without too much hassle.

Congrats on 2 months of commuting I hope you have many more!
The commute turned out to be pretty wet, when I rolled out of the driveway not much was falling from the sky but things started to pick up a bit so my shoes and pants got soaked but fortunatley my clothing in my bag stayed dry. I almost got right hooked but I managed to react in time to avoid a collision but I was pretty pissed off since this person was behind me and sped up to just make the turn in front of me but I shook it off since it was at the start of my ride. Never a dull moment on the bike.
Cheers~

Today is the first time I rode since Monday. I had to meet with my lawyer before work, but rode a partial-commute anyway. I bought wool socks, but the weather was warmer today, and I didn't need them. I got buzzed by an a***ole on the bridge.
I dunno, it wasn't a great ride, but it wasn't horrible either.

A helluva lot busier than yesterday - I had to take evasive action a couple of times to avoid getting taken out. Sigh.
