The ride in was really nice this morning, temp was 55 and sunny. Very little traffic made for an enjoyable commute. To all of the Marines and former Marines on the site, semper fi, and Happy Birthday!!

33F with 15MPH headwind today, which added about 10 minutes to the commute. Got a little overheated and then chilly at the end due to sweat. No flats this week! TGIF.

Another awesome ride in the ATL. Today I DID NOT over-dress ..... like yesterday.
Very light traffic. I guess because state and federal offices are closed for Veterans' Day.

I hope the ride home is as great as yesterday.

Rode to the hospital first thing to go to my physio, so that added all of a .5-1 mile to my journey, and I went TO work this time pretty much the same way as I ride back, and I really enjoyed it - so I might switch my morning route.

32 mins, 14.4mph average (slight headwind, but I was still managing 18mph along that stretch).

Wore no fleece again this ride, as last night, had a slight chill standing still, but once I was moving, I was good - damn near perfect

Today will be the first time I've ridden 4/5 in a week I think - pretty sure I didn't make it over 3/5 in the summer, so.. woo!

Riding down Sherbourne basically catching the lights each time with a big low-loader semi (crane truck), that was kinda fun - I had him on speed and acceleration, just the lights I couldn't catch (well, maybe if I went all-out, but I don't like to be totally exhausted before work ). The low-loader flat bed had a real ****load of caked/dried mud and leaves and crap on it, the guy drove by me once, and that was enough with all the bumps the crap came off, into the air/on the road and I didn't want to be eyeing or breathing that crap in.

Made me feel a bit goofy when I stopped, as each and every time this guy (who was considerably slower) always caught back up to me - felt like a red-light racer - but it was fun, and a good workout - slight decline down there so I was getting a nice 22+mph - the stop/start/stop/start crap killed my last 5 minutes of the ride after though, damn lights!

No commute! I have to start burning off PTO before the end of the year. Plenty of 3 days weekends.
Going to head out and hunt down a new chain, tires, and a cassette since I thrashed it due to having 6500 miles on one chain. I am such a dumbass. Can't measure with a steel ruler worth a damn. Oh well.

We're taking Monday for the Veterans' Day holiday. Why? Don't ask. But it surely made for a very mellow commute. Rode my winter fixie for the first time today. Didn't have time to get the fenders set up so hopefully the rain will hold off until later tonight.

I walked into the building with one of the few other cyclo-commuters in my agency. He rides his early-70s Schwinn Varsity that he's had since he was freshman in college. That green beauty from Chicago still rides like a champ. Nice.

yesterday was the last commuting day for me (observed USA holiday from job today).
at a light (stopped), an age +/- 14 male (rider 1) rode next to me "why are you stopped at the traffic light?" he questioned. 'it's the law' was my response. "oh"
he and friend (rider 2) ran the light, but when it changed, i easily caught up and we rode to the next light. they (riders 1+2) stopped with me at the light, talked about speed/legality.
light changed, said good-by ('be safe').
i hope/think seeds were planted!

My commute is almost too short, but that changes in 10 days. This morning was cold enough at 0530 that I came home after work and dug out the full finger gloves. Must be gettin' on towards winter.

Cooler this morning, 34 degrees. Ride was good both ways, no problems. Why do people ask me if I rode in when I am in full kit? Do they think I put cycling clothes on to drive in?

Ride home last night was plain tiring, probably one of my slowest rides - but nonetheless enjoyable, barring one idiot who very very closely cut me off on Adelaide right before Sherbourne (he got a good yell of "wtF man!, holy f%$£" and some direct eye contact and head shaking )

Average of 12.2mph and time of 38 mins - with a healthy thigh burn

Someone threw a small salsa container and hit me on the arm. no real damage done except to my view of humanity. what a cowardly a**hole. it's not the first time and I'm sure it won't be the last. the car had Texas plates, maybe the dipsh*t was upset over the election.

It was a nice, relaxing ride in this morning after a weekend with the inlaws (I like'em, though it can be tiring sometimes). About 30 this morning with some wind...I was cold when I Started out, but I knew if I put on the jacket, I'd be sweating up a storm by the time I got in.
Just need some hot chocolate now

Damp, raw air this morning. Mid-30Fs, and it rained last night. I had a pretty nice commute though. I caught a guy on an MTB but didn't pass. We cruised at 15MPH all the way in to Burlington. Then I took a road and he stayed on the MUP, but he later caught up to me at a red light and we exchanged greetings. I wanted to tell him he should move his blinkie lower on his backpack because it was ineffective up on top like it was. Should I have? Perhaps.

Nice ride in this morning. All the people in cars gave me plenty of room and I gave them plenty of respect.
Kind of cold this morning though. 33 at the Hartsfield Int'l when I left my house, so probably 31 or so on my route. Most of the cars had a nice thick coat of frost. I switched back to clipless pedals this weekend, and I think my old spd shoes are not as warm as my hikers I had been wearing. I was nice an warm everywhere except the toes. I think I'll be bringing out the wool socks pretty soon.

Fine ride this morning. I've been riding the heavy touring bike all weekend so the singlespeed this morning was a breeze. I kept thinking something felt strange, then I realized that I was accelerating a lot less weight.

I rode around a lot yesterday and gave my iPod a try on the bike. It was a bit cumbersome to get the earbuds in place but only occasionally felt unsafe. I won't be doing it very often, the continuous background music bugged me -- I kept climbing big hills, but the music didn't slow down. Billy Bragg just kept on playing the same song regardless of my pace and I wanted to yell "shut up, I'm trying to ride my bike!!"

Good ride in today, took the newer alternative route using a bikelane and felt noticeably faster (cruising speed wise, not overall) - enjoyable, had no problems to speak of - excellent traffic courtesy, etc. Didn't see many bikes this morning. I rode Saturday with the trailer on for a bit (~600ft. climbing in 5mi. too) and none yesterday so I was kinda rested today, maybe time to try a 5/5 week!

32 mins, with an average of 14.6mph (routeslip - 14.8 on my computer).

Had a nice ride in this morning despite the fact that I was tired and really didn't want to get out of bed. Made very good time since I had a nice tailwind the whole way in. Temps are finally seasonal again so it actually feels like fall now.
