Beautiful commute for me, today. High 40s/low 50s, clear blue skies, very few people on the streets (I agree with Tractortom... Very surprised at just how much of the morning traffic seems to be due to school).

Patch on the back tire (the one I put on backwards ... doh!) is still hanging in there. I don't know whether to take it off and apply a new patch the "correct" way, or just let it keep on working (as it seems to be doing, knock on wood).

First ride in a few weeks due to a nasty sinus infection - finally feeling better, now to ride some more.

EDIT: And cue the snow . .. ..
Will be a "fun" one going home I see. ...

A lovely ride home. 31F/-1C with a very weak tailwind. Decided to risk the MUP, but was happy to see there wasn't any ice or snow on it. I stopped to take a picture next to Lake Champlain.

I'm over my cold, so this morning back on the bike! The pre-dawn commute was very nice, but the ride home was grrrrrrreat!!! You know those tail winds you only dream about but so rarely see. Yup. I rolled out of the parking lot onto the street, did three power "spins", stopped pedaling and sat up, and for the next 30 minutes averaged over 200 mph! Drivers could not even see me, they could only hear the Whizzzz when I went by. Children cried. Dogs cowered. I left the parking lot at 4:05pm and arrived home 4:02pm - - THAT FAST!!! Yessir, one a' THEM tail-winds.

Finally starting to look like winter out there. Two cars in the ditch on my way home from work today. Looks like I'll be riding rollers this week (don't want to be a target for out-of-control cars and snow plows )...

Sick of the dark.

Yesterday I rode, as usual, from about 6:55 to 7:20 am. Dark.

Monday nights I have study hall, so I rode home from 9:45 to 10:10 pm. Dark.

This morning, I rode, as usual, from about 6:55 to 7:20 am. Dark. Though there was, for the first morning this year, a faint glimmer of light when I got to work.

Finally I got to ride home during daylight this afternoon. Still, it is grey, cloudy, and I have most of my full kit on.

Cant wait for the sun. Sunrise here, at the moment, is one minute earlier each day. The first day I see the sun will be a very happy one, and I might just be a little late for work!

colder than yesterday, but very rewarding :-) ! However 3 out of 10 car drivers do not accept cyclists on the road.

37F, great tail wind the first almost exactly half way. Then came the sleet and rain. Lots of fire trucks and police cars today too, kinda weird.

Colder ride in, just above freezing. No wind. I think I am ready for Spring to start.

Our snowfall yesterday morning quickly melted, but the frost was so heavy this morning that it looked like light snow. I passed drivers all along my route scraping the windows on their cars and warming up their engines. It was colder than I expected and my water bottle froze half-solid by the time I got to work. Should have worn my warmest gloves and my fingers were numb halfway through the ride. Hot coffee at my desk sure tastes good right now.

17F/-8C, hazy sunshine, no wind. Have to give a thumbs up to the Burlington Electric Department. Every time I've shared a road with one of their trucks, the driver is bike-friendly.

After many spring-like days, it felt like winter again this morning (23F). But I heard that late in the afternoon, the south wind will being spring back.

It's still nice here, even the fair-weather cyclists are starting to come out. Speaking of weather reports, Google said to expect dragons this morning.

29F, clear, dry, and no wind. Nice. Got passed by a fast-moving six-cyclist train soon after getting on the local bike trail (W&OD Trail). I just kept to the right and watched them go.

45F, one mile detour due to storm drain work. I am guessing it will take another four to five weeks. Just as well, the longer route is bike lane all the way.

Bikes: quite a few

32 or so, some frost on lawns, car windows, etc. but dry so no ice. So happy I don't have to defrost my car to drive to work and I can just pull out my bike instead. Sort of regret not having anything on my face to keep it warm and my cheap gloves just can't quite cut 32F, but not a big deal.

Saw at least 4 other commuters in parts of my commute where I don't normally see them. (On the roads instead of the MUP and further out in the suburbs than where I usually encounter them.)

Didn't see any dragons today, but did have a nice commute with things warming up. Temp was around 50*F, and forecast calls for high today in the low 70s. Looking forward to a nice lunch ride and commute home.

No bike today...two Doctors appts this afternoon. About 46 in Okeechobee this morning at 7am when I would have been riding. That's just a little cold for my very southern blood. Will commute on the bike tomorrow, supposed to be a bit warmer in the morning....

Just a short jaunt to class last night since I had the day off for Presidents Day. Back to the work commute this morning, and it was a nice ride in. Temps mid 30s, bright sun, and a little tailwind. Made good time in.

National Weather Service is predicting 70+ degrees for Thursdays high. That damned groundhog lied to us again. Where's my winter?

Cold, around 32F, but clear, sunny skies and no wind. Plus, I've left a bit earlier so I was rewarded with little traffic. Not a bad ride at all.

36 degrees and no wind this morning, very nice riding weather. Tail wind this afternoon, 'twas a cruise! Not long until El Paso begins to really start warming up while the rest of you losers will be freezing in the snow . . . Just sayin'!
