Money is a bit tight at the moment so the extra cost would be quite burdensome. However, it does hurt a little area of the bone. I've noticed it feels as though I am sitting 'to close' to yet he handlebars, so I will move the seat backwards and see if the makes a difference.
Slim - I ended up getting the GT 3 - quite happy with it so far apart from the sore bottom! Does feel a little hard if you know what I mean.
no1mad - I'm sure in my commute there is a few bike shops so I will pop in and see them. See if they can offer some advice.
arby - This is what I am hoping, that I am just unused to it. The last time I rode a bicycle was about six years ago when I was about 20 kilos lighter.
