Selle An-Atomica: treatment/Proofide/break-in?
So, I finally bit the bullet and spent big money on a nice saddle for myself. I chose the Selle An-Atomica (Titanico X because I'm a Clyde). It should be arriving in the mail this week, my question for y'all is:
Do you treat this leather saddle as you would a Brooks with Proofide or other treatments?
Hopefully the saddle will come with some instructions in this regard, but I'm not seeing anything like that on their website.
I'm pretty excited, I've been making do with a Serfas gel ergo saddle I picked up for $35 a decade ago, and not only is it beat, but it's like a sponge in the constant rain here. I've put a lot of miles on this saddle, including 80+ miles some days. Nonetheless, I've been a little self conscious rolling it for a while, what was once state of the art, I think now makes me look a little funky. Quite excited to finally get a good saddle!

Good choice! I have a Sella Anatomica on my fixed gear bike and find it very comfortable; I've even ridden 3 fixed gear centuries with this set up.
I'm thinking you're really going to like this saddle!

I have An-Atomicas on 5 of my 6 bikes. They are the best thing that's happened to my butt since my mother stopped powdering it decades ago! As noted, mount it, adjust it, ride it [maybe tweak it a bit], and enjoy it! The instruction sheet is very complete, and will answer all your questions.

Wasn't in the FAQ's or anywhere else obvious that I saw.
Just found my e-mailed receipt (spam filter caught it) and it did come with the PDF instruction sheets so I'll be going through those tonight. I have to wonder if my saddle is being made to order or shipped across the world though, as they said they wouldn't be shipping it from Selle for 7-14 days! I really hope I get it before the Gran Fondo Eprhata on the 31st... :/
Thanks everyone!
