What the heck was that?

today was my first ride to work in a long time. Lack of motivation and Pacific Northwest longest winter ever it seems is my excuse. So here I am plodding along about 12 mph feeling every bit of the weight I put on over the winter when from seemingly out of nowhere (well actually I did see his headlight rapidly approaching) my new hero flew by me at the speed of what seemed to be sound but it couldn't be cause he did say good morning while making the old man feel like an old man. Then I thought oh well its my first day in a long time and I know this guys been riding some this winter and besides he was riding one of those fancy carbon bikes and I'm riding a Windsor freakin tourist so I just took my time and had a nice ride. The ride home was faster I cut 5 minutes off my morning time. Sure was good to be back in the saddle again.

Bikes: Windsor Fens, Giant Seek 0 (2014, Alfine 8 + discs)

Nothing quite like riding with full layered clothing and low pressure, wide studded tires through snow all winter then when it warms up putting on the narrow high pressure tires.

It makes you feel fast as the wind!

For a couple of days. Then it's back to feeling normal again.
