The young guy maybe 30 something just about crapped his pants and the old man maybe 80 something quietly drove off. the gun scared me and was about 25 feet away. You never know what you might get into with people and don't think your Van Damme punching through windows grabbing people. I think everybody has watched one too many movies.
Don't f*** with old guys. Life in prison doesn't mean much to someone that's 85 years old.

That said OP, don't go pounding on windows. In civilized states, your car is considered an extension of your home, and attempting to enter the car can legally be responded to with deadly force. You will not be able to shatter the glass with a fist anyway, you'll just break your hand. Windows are surprisingly strong.

Get the license plate and report them to the police, don't go playing at being some moronic vigilante cowboy.

I probably go off more than I should, often at guys riding opposite traffic, and me, in the bike lane. I should control it more.
