Randomness at the Farmer's Market today.

The wife and I decided to go to the farmers market on our way there we found an iphone in the case laying on the ground. Then while at the Farmers market we were approached by someone from a Florida Magazine wanting to take our pictures because we were on our bikes.

None of this would have happened had I been in a car

Hopefully you are planning on attempting to return the phone to its owner? Also, the photo op sounds cool, if it is published you should post it up!

There has never been enough parking at any farmers market that I've ever gone to, so the bike is the logical choice for getting there. Unfortunately, convincing my better half to ride instead of drive is an uphill battle. He doesn't think twice about going for a 60k highway ride, but getting him to pedal 10k to the local market is like pulling teeth.

I think this post would have been appropriate in the Anything Thread. I'd really like to make that happen.

Good deal. I am sure they are happy that an honest person found their phone.

They were thrilled, they did remote wipe the phone which was interesting because there was nothing left on it. They need to make it so you can have a In Case of Emergency contact or something.

I returned an iphone I found about a week ago too. The owner was really grateful (she'd lost another phone a few months ago), and the guy at the AT&T store congratulated me on being so honest about turning it in. I had no plans on keeping it, but wonder what something like that is worth to someone who would keep it.

I saw a Black Berry on the street as I was riding yesterday. It was just in the intersection so I had to keep going but when I got to the other side I turned around to go grab it. By that time some other gentleman was already in the street grabbing it. I hope it was his phone.

When I saw the phone I remembered this post and thought of doing the right thing and getting it and returning it to the original owner, I hate Black Berry. An Iphone may have been a different story though. LOL
