150 miles!!
150 Miles in a week!!
I know that's not much to some, but it 60 more than my previous record. 5 days at 30 miles round trip, and to be honest I don't feel totally drained. I guess you can improve with effort.

That's so true - I only have a 6 mile round trip, but I do it 6 days in a row and at first by the 4th-5th day, my legs would be shot. I still feel a twinge or two at the 6th day now, but nothing like what it used to be.

Thanks to all
It is amazing what can happen in 3 months. It had been 25 years before that that I had been on a bike.
This may sound sappy, but biking has changed my life. For the last 15 years I have been fighting my body to stay in the Navy. I just have not been able to get a handle on my weight. My inability to control being overweight has caused me to not be eligible for promotion and almost got me to be kicked out. By Wednesday I will be able to get on a scale and be in weight standards for the first time ever. It is an unbelievable feeling.

Congrats!! My commute is 30milesRT. I try to do it every day, but it can really wear me out and I've been doing it for 6months or so. Keep up the great work.

Riding to work all five days is a milestone by itself. A 150 mile week is nothing to sneeze at either. But of all of these I am most impressed with achieving your weight goal - setting a difficult goal, sticking with it and achieving it. Outstanding!
