Just found my next commuter.

It's an 05' Specialized Crossroads XC Pro. I'd never seen it before cause the crossroads series of bikes are comfort bikes. But when I saw this at the LBS, it really caught my eye, kind of like the cannondale bad boy ultra, similar in design. It's great, nice wide gearing, 9 speed, disc brakes, 700c wheels, light suspension with lockout.

Bikes: Surly Karate Monkey commuter build

I have to say I like that a lot... I never even noticed it either. I've noticed the Sequoia and Sirrus, but never the crossroads. I think the problem is that on their page, they list the least flattering crossroads model. I like the Sirrus a lot too but it's a bit more up in the price range and the top of the line model has Juicy 5 discs instead of BB5's. Also, instead of suspension it comes with a carbon fork with Zertz inserts. How much does that particular Crossroads run? My LBS doesn't even carry that bike (though they can get it)

$1100. I'm gonna go down there to take a look at it.
It's either this or the sirrus disc for $700. There's a cobble stone road behind the shop, I'm gonna ride around to see how the sirrus feels.

Bikes: allez fuji tracku nishiki TT GT KHS arrow Miner 29'er CIOCC Corsair and now a f*cking awesome waterford skeet velo

I like the thinner frame, looks cool. Always thought some of their other off-road models were too "chunky".
