sidelined
Last week was a bummer of a time to have an accident taking me off the road (shoulder problems). I am bummed to miss 2 nice weeks of summer riding (summer here is only like 8 weeks long), and I am massively bummed to miss biking w/ my 11 yr old to his new school on Wednesday (he's starting middle school). He can't ride there solo yet* so the only way he'll be biking is if I lean on my wife enough to ride there with him. That will probably work for Day 1 at least.
I will be able to walk to my 7 yr old's school as she rides off to start 2nd grade at least.
*Hey, are there any rules on spray-painting route markers onto pavement? I know it happens for organized rides and sometimes the marks linger for years. I am wondering about spraying (relatively subtle) arrows on the street in this culdesacy subdivision my son has to cut through to get to his new school.
