Boston cold; riding in the 20's. 26 mile r/t commute, layer wool and polypro under Pearl Izimu windblock shell with those big old Lobster mitts, winblock beanie and neck gaiter, heavy winter tights. Thanks stedanrac. That indeed is COLD and a long ride. I think I need to invest in a softshell outer layer. Underarmour, long sleeved 80s jersey and a windbreaker aren't quite warm enough when it gets cold. My commute home is always after 9pm. Lower temps with a bit of wind and I barely warm up and sometimes get cold waiting at red lights.
