Or pick your place of work in the proper direction You are riding to work so the day is already starting out on a bad note so a headwind doesn't do much to make the day worse. At night, with the proper residence choice, you get a tailwind...Wheeeeeee!

If you flip it around, the tailwind isn't nearly as enjoyable.

Drafting in strong headwinds helps a lot, except for the poor guy up front.

I got hit with 40+ mph headwind/crosswind (damn thing couldn't make up its mind) today. I really thought I was going to either eat the curb or get blown right into the next lane of traffic. Finally lost my nerve and walked the bike the rest of the way -- and I could barely manage to do THAT!

From now on, "Wind Advisory" = "Take the bus."
