That's ok, plenty of German brands are brewed in Russia (for the local market).

Baltika is a Russian brand indeed, comes from St. Petersburg.

Last day of commuting until after Easter... Weekend, week off, weekend. Hoping to knock out some serious miles despite the fact we are finishing up the coldest winter in my lifetime (coldest since 1965 - I was hatched in 1966). Commuted all winter so temps aren't an issue just want to ride in less clothes.

Cool, I've never seen it before, so it seemed quite interesting. I have a craving for some good Mexican beer as it's warming up here.

with all of the traveling and switching of countries again. I also think that the commute will be much shorter in Copenhagen (default plan unless another option comes along) than in Frankfurt. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens?

I'll play along. I'm batching it this weekend as my wife and daughter will both be out of town. I had planned for a mega-cycling weekend but the weather is not cooperating. It has been 20 degrees colder than usual for this time of year and it's supposed to be cloudy with a chance of rain tomorrow, but I am hoping to squeeze in a long ride during the morning. Sunday is supposed to be a washout with cold temps as well.
Fortunately, it is March Madness in the USA with the NCAA college basketball tournament underway -- the greatest sporting event outside the Olympics. I am not a huge sports fan but I totally love the NCAA tournament. It starts with 64 teams with single loss eliminations during each round. Although my team (UGA) didn't make the tournament this year, I have alternate local teams to root for (UNC, NC State and Duke). So I plan to watch a lot of basketball games this weekend, probably with some pizza and beer tonight and BBQ tomorrow. Sunday I will probably work on my taxes since it's supposed to be cold and rainy, so at least I won't have to waste a nice day doing that.

I'm just about Mexican beer-ed out. I'll take a Corona on ice with fresh lime on those REALLY hot days. Other than that, I'm more into lagers and Kolsh-style beers when it warms up outside.

I remember "kinder bier" 50% beer and 50% coke. Have they still got that there? Was allowed to have some every time my family went out to eat.

As far as Danish beer goes, the Carlsberg brewery is in the city. They make Tuborg, Carlsberg, Jacobsen and a few others.
The coolest thing is they still have active research labs within the brewery:

Also, I'll be in Maine for a few days this coming week to see family (new nephew), but wouldn't have any time to meet for a BF ride. But, I'll be back in July for the nephew's baptism. Maybe we could have a BF Commuting forum meet and ride along the coast. There's at least one more BF commuting member on here from Maine. Perhaps along the East Coast Greenway? I'll be in southern Maine (Wells.)
