Thanks for the great advice guys and i basically took up this job for some extra money in order to buy a 5 string bass and other bass equipment because i run a popular channel on YouTube and my growing popularity is requiring me to buy some extra equipment plus i would like to start saving for college and being able to help out my parents with any bills they have trouble with. So that bicycle is more than simple sports equipment to me,its my connection to life itself.
Hijack alert: You say you have a popular you tube channel, thats great. You must be doing something That connects with your audiemce. So why are you not making any money from that? You provide your creativity for free so google/you tube can make money off it. I'm not sure how a 5 string bass is going to change that equation. My point is be careful about devaluing your creative output as well as giving it away for free.

You've got to respect your dad's wishes. I'd be pretty proud to have a 16-year-old motivated and working toward goals like you. But I'd also worry a lot about you.
Commuting does carry risks and requires skills and instincts that take a little time to acquire.
Good luck, and keep working toward those bass-playing goals.

I'm more concerned that your taking up bass instead of guitar. . . .
j/k
tee hee . . . just kidding.
I worked for a band in the 80's and only had a bike as transportation.
But it was a different world back then. Civility and politeness in society went
away when that guy from Flock of Seagulls let his waterfall grow out
Best wishes on your future
