A not so shrewd Move?
I commute on a Trek 2000 in Portland and the road grit is wearing out the drive train consistently. So I just bought an old Bianchi 10-speed, planning to ride it when it's wet out. Of course I didn't think about the fact that the Bianchi won't stop very well in the rain on its steel rims.
Did I blow it? Is it practical to put aluminum rims on the Bianchi so it will stop in the rain?

Don't forget to change the brake blocks to an alloy formula too. Steel-formula blocks on wet alloy rims are slip-slip-slip-LOCK. I have a broken finger and two false teeth that'll attest to that one
