No commuter can be hot if it doesn't have fenders.

fenders, while useful, are usually pretty ugly. |

OK, this is a gratuitous attempt to revive the Hot or Not thread and continue spamming pics of my new bike in the process.
Right now it's in CX racing configuration, but I chose this frame specifically because I'll be able to conscript it into commuting duty once race season is over. http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3706/9...154bd788_b.jpg |

My '78 Trek TX700 with repaint and 10 speed build. I am lucky that I rarely need to take anything into work so a rack is not needed.

http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/a...11-13_1636.jpg Nice shot composition, lugged stealth frame, classic paint color, matching chromed accoutrements, and understated bar wrap is HOT! Points subtracted for saddle angle, unnecessary triple derailleur, and droopy bag. I also don't like leather but that's a political thing so no points subtracted. |

Thanks guys.
@ spare_wheel. Agree about the Jandd bag, probably should have removed it for the pic, but was in bit of a hurry. I'm guessing from your comment about leather you have never ridden a Brooks saddle. ;) The front derailleur is in fact a double. That was made by Jen Green who does headbadges and other jewelry (often related to, or featuring, cycling).
http://www.headbadges.com/ She also made these: http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/photo-46.jpg http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/a...psa4c481ba.jpg |

Not well...it's too low and gets blocked by the rack, panniers or not (and 90% she's using at least one pannier). Her primary lighting is helmet mounted Viz 360...but she also uses the blinky clipped to either the bag itself, or her pants. It's mounted there more as a way to store it for when needed. As it sits, it's useless.

There are some winners in this thread.

Definitely hot. I don't like the water bottle cages, especially the clamp on one. The bag would be OK if you'd snug it against the saddle a bit. Not much else to complain about.

Not really a choice with clamping on an extra water bottle as I often use this bike for century rides.
