Please explain how you got the headlights to stay on the brazeons? I love that idea and would definitely like to do it on my bike.

The short answer is, PVC endcaps.
When I get to a computer, I'll throw up some pics.

I tried that on my SS, but couldn't determine a way to keep the cap from coming just loose enough to rotate... some sort of keyed lockwasher or something. Do let us know how you accomplished that.

I started a new thread here. That way I didn't derail this one too much.

Fabulous!

What is it? Looks good. Nice work making the fenders pretty even all around.

Also, I've got to ask about your saddle bag - I know it's an Arundel Uno - I ordered one for myself for my commuter but when I got it I was surprised just how freakin small it is. Yours looks bigger. I could barely fit a 700x28 tube as compressed as I could get it, and maybe a tire lever - to say nothing about a CO2 inflator and 1 16gm cartridge. And the velcro strap was way too short in the sense that it basically had to be flat with almost nothing in it in order to have the velcro actually catch. Yours looks taller from top to bottom, i swear mine is like an inch. Just curious of it's measurements and what you fit into it. And I wonder if I got a bum one (ordered 3rd party on Amazon).

Hi the sci guy, the bike is a MEC Provincial Road 222. Sweet little bike for $2000 Canadian dollars.

The Arundel bags are nice and keep things looking tidy. That being said, the Unos don't fit more than an inner tube(700cx25 max.), a tire lever and a very svelte multi-tool. The one attached to my bike has a 700x35-38 shoehorned into it along with a topeak multi-tool and the strap is just long enough to wrap around the bag. Very tight. I recommend the Arundel Duo if you plan to pack more than a tube, tire lever, tool and one CO2. I use one on my 29er. See below.

And on that note I will submit a second bike into the commuter hot or not. Yes, I commute on this one too.

Yeah I have a Dual - my wife got it a while ago but didn't like it so I finally just put it on my commuter too, where I was originally going to put the Uno! Hard to see it but it's there :

I don't get it about the chainguard and drop bars, but that's the great thing about bike commuting. Room for different opinions and styles.

It was a compliment, :).

"Call the Midwife" is a period drama that sports some old english bicycles that kind of looked like yours save they had a more vintage handlebar.

Wow, learn something new every day. I thought it meant it looked preggers, ready to drop a baby bike. The chainguard was really an afterthought since I had the materials handy. I was going for minimalist but it kind of grew on me.

Ironically I ordered that bike with flat handlebars but they sent drops instead.

I described the fenders in my review thread
