This is the first morning I saw the sun on my ride in. The sun has been rising before I got to work previously but I haven't seen it on the morning commute yet.

Very wet from storms last night - I hadn't realized how stormy it had been until I got about 2 miles from home and there was a tree across the MUP... a big one! Had to split a hole in the branches to get through, sorta like blazing new trails

66 Degrees in Chicago going to Skokie. A little windy in certain parts but not a bad commute. It might rain later on so I'm hoping it holds off until I get back home.

Chilly morning (~3C), but low winds and sunny. Nice ride. Chased a guy up a hill, but didn't pass him until we had been on the flats for a bit. Our paths diverged a bit later, then when stopped at a light downtown, there he was again! We had a nice chat discussing the various ways to get to the same place.

I rode in today mainly so I could take the afternoon off to watch the Amgen Stage 2 TT and say I'd ridden my bike to it (if not in it). I joined some friends camped in the middle of Folsom Lake Crossing and we watched the racers go by.

Today's commute was warm, the first 80 degree day of the year. A big change compared to February when I first started. This morning was perfect, no headwinds and zero traffic issues. This afternoon however was a nightmare; I was riding through a small town I always ride through at about 16 mph when I was going around what seemed like an ordinary parked car. By the time I reach the rear passenger door this car decided to turn into the lane barely missing me, causing me to swerve into the opposite lane. Thankfully there was no other traffic coming. I ended up catching up to this car at the last traffic signal in town, I pulled up beside the car to confront the driver only to be completely ignored. Tapping on the window to get her attention resulted in honking and inching forward while steering left into me. The next thing I know there's a county police car pulling up behind us, so I proceeded to explain the situation, hell he even saw the driver trying to run me over at the red light. 15 minutes later, he lets the woman drive off and writes up an appearance citation for public harassment or something along those lines and "reckless driving".
Lesson learned: If there's no damage to me or the bike, don't confront reckless drivers.

Warm, refreshing, relaxing. I took a moment to check the expansion straps on my bags & used the opportunity to just sit on some grass bike leaning on curb & feel the breeze. Was nice.
Saw 6 people doing the bike to work thing! One of them i encountered 2x on a rockhopper. At one location they failed to lock up & parked their ride on a island in the parking lot against a tree. Only in newtown.

I've been neck deep in grad school finals the past few weeks hence my poor bikes haven't been getting much love lately. Actually in the past few weeks I've ridden them maybe three times. I feel horrible but I just don't have the energy.

The ride was a cool 51f degrees again this am and mostly cloudy with an east wind about 10-15miles an hour. So it was some work getting here. Though the ride home last night was great I was able to ride a long way home. There is some very nice scenery on that ride. I will hopefully get to ride that ride more often.

70 F 78% humidity, breeze from the due south 3mph.
46 minutes, the fastest I've ever made it. I had a policeman following me down a short stretch of West End. It's mostly downhill there - I suppose it's a good thing the speed limit is 40mph.

It's now getting warm enough that I'm starting to get a bit sweaty on the morning ride. I'm tempted to start leaving a bit earlier and either getting more miles in or just getting to office area early and hanging out to read or something before work.
Nothing interesting happened yesterday or this morning really.

8C/46F and raining, don't like cold rain so I didn't ride today. Looks like it will be better for the rest of the week so today'll be the only day off the bike. Furthermore, last night was a squats/deadlifts/lunges/leg press night so my legs are a bit tired.

Big headwind coming in and it looks like I'll have a big headwind tonight gooing back home.
8° celcius, sunny. the rest of the week should be warmer but rainy.
Big Habs win last night, the serie is now tied 3-3, the final showdown tomorrow night in Boston, It'll be fun...

My commute this morning was moist.
Rained like crazy here last night, and it's very humid and 66 degrees. Today was one of the first days I ever really felt like I could have used fenders on the bike, there were a couple of flooded sections of the MUP that while I could ride through, there was quite a bit of spray.
Crazy moment last night. Riding home, heading up a hill and there is parallel parking on this particular street. I'm to the left of the parked cars, out of "dooring reach" and not plodding along, but riding at a decent clip for going up hill.
Woman comes rolling up behind me, then pulls in front and then toward the cars, squeezing me, because she wants to park in the parking space I'm just about to ride through. I slow down and sit up, yell, "What the EFF are you doing???" and then she realizes what's going on, and pulls away up to the next block, where she turns right. I wasn't freaked or overly fearful, but my radar was up at that moment.

Another humid morning. It's thunderstorming right now. Hopefully I don't run into one on the way home this evening. The forecast is for "scattered".

ditto! 69F when I left this morning. I actually prefer hot and humid but no complaints. I think my chances of missing rain on the way home are slim to none. It's bike to work week here - think I'll bike to work this week!

Warm and humid this morning, with temps in the 90s expected this afternoon. I guess the mild spring weather is over here.

Beautiful pics up there! 60F/16C, foggy, light drizzle. Caught up to a bike commuting colleague, always a treat.

Hot and humid again with highs in the 90s this afternoon. Our weather has leapfrogged from cool spring to hot summer weather over the past couple of weeks. Yuck

I was up early for a run this morning under the full moon. It looked really cool.
About 70F this morning. I felt a need for some Gatorade during my ride this morning, so I swung by a 7-Eleven near the office. I picked up a couple of bigger sizes so I'll have some for several days. Gotta replenish those fluids that the heat is pulling out of me.
The neighborhood swimming pool opens tomorrow. At lunch today I'll be walking to Target to get some goggles for the kids. They never seem to make it from one summer to the next.
