This is HOT
This thing is HOT. Looks like Diamondback has been dishing out some really nice bikes lately. I've been a fan of the Giant Escape RX series, and owned a few Trek FX's, but this thing is equipped much better than the latter, and, it's a bit cheaper.

Looks good, I like the graphics. Not a bad price, either . . . I'm not quite ready to trade over my Escape at this time, but if I was shopping for a steed I would give this Diamonback a hard look.

Nice bike, but why a flat bar road bike? What am I missing?

Nice bike. Kinda meh brakes, but at that price I'd be willing to spend what I saved upgrading them.

Nothing. This type of bike (like the Giant Escape I ride) is versatile enough that it could work with both flat bars or drops. I personally choose flat bars (with bar-ends) because I prefer the upright riding position while I'm bombing around the city. However, drop bars are just as valid a choice - it just depends on a rider's preference and style.
