Commute in Los Angeles: Howard Hughes

I'm about to start a commute from the West Hollywood, CA area to the Howard Hughes Center (off the 405). I found a great route at www.bikemetro.com. and I'm wondering if anyone else has a similar commute.
It would be great to find a buddy to make the ride with. Getting down La Cienega (or Robertson) to get to the Ballona Creek Bike Path takes some good vehicular cycling, but after that it's a breeze.
